Keystone skiing as kid was a great experience. Skiing at night added 5 hours to a ski day I believed to be too short. Returning as an adult, I found a new perspective. Past 4:00, I want to be in a hot tub. My old body is barely able to ski from 9-4. Adding the hours of 4-9 made me feel my age.

Enough of the whining. The trip was awesome. The kids skied great. Trey was going down everything on his snowboard and waiting for me at the the bottom. Hailey was great skiing as well. But she was waiting for her volleyball team at the bottom and not her Dad.

Maggie did well but felt sick most of the time. Trey and I were skiing at the top of the hill when Melissa sent me a text message. The messsage said- Maggie is in the ER on oxygen. I pointed my skis downhill and did not turn or slow down until we got to the ER at the bottom of the hill. I knew something must be terribly wrong. By the time I walked in, she was smiling. Just a case of altitude sickness and the oxygen treatment made her feel much better. 45 minutes I was paying the bill and taking her for ice cream.
